Summary

MSc Computer Science student at EPFL. Previously an ML engineering intern on Uber’s Traffic team, testing hypotheses about how traffic should be measured and predicted globally. Background in robotics, computer vision, and statistics. I enjoy long puzzles.

Education

EPFL, LausanneSep 2026 – Jul 2028

Master of Science, Computer Science

  • Coursework: Formal Verification, Functional Programming, Machine Learning, Data Analysis
  • BSc Microengineering (2023 – 2026): Linear Algebra, Statistics, Numerical Analysis, Optimization Methods, Mathematical Systems Theory, Object-Oriented Programming, Logic Systems, Microcontrollers
  • Year Abroad: KTH Stockholm, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (2025 – 2026)

Experience

Uber Technologies, AmsterdamFeb 2026 – Jul 2026

MLE Intern, TrafficInternship

  • Drove research across a traffic prediction stack ingesting 100k+ GPS pings/sec globally, spanning learned road network representations and inference of unobserved traffic state from floating car data
  • Built the team’s backtesting pipeline for evaluating research models against production predictions
  • Extended beyond scope into adjacent problems in map matching, implemented ideas from literature
  • Designed a traffic light phase estimation system reaching ~2.0s transition timestamp MAE
  • Interned alongside full-time coursework, and received an invitation to stay full-time

UNIL Sports & Health, LausanneAug 2024 – Jul 2025

Research DeveloperPart-time

  • Developed multi-camera vision system for movement analysis, cutting manual work from 5hrs to 1min
  • Applied epipolar geometry to reconstruct joints from noisy data in a way that’s robust to obstructions
  • Enabled multi-player tracking with Kalman filters, and built a dynamic dashboard to explore the field in 3D

EPFL, LausanneFeb 2025 – Jul 2025

Teaching Assistant, Probability & StatisticsPart-time

  • Taught ~50 students, using interactive notebooks to strengthen probabilistic reasoning

Awards & Projects

Jane Street Portal Program, ZurichSep 2025

  • Selected as one of 30 from >3,000 for a week-long educational program focused on research

Apple WWDC Scholar, Cupertino2022, 2024

  • Built apps simulating electoral systems and their failure modes, from Arrow’s theorem to strategic voting

Mechanism-design GPU marketplace (CalcX), StockholmNov 2025

  • Hackathon project: a live, zero-trust market renting idle consumer GPUs for verifiable computation

Study-abroad assignment predictor (ExSight), LausanneAug 2024 – Jun 2025

  • Reimplemented EPFL’s assignment algorithm so students could see their odds from GPA and preferences
  • Reached >99% adoption rate among >650 users, becoming the de facto tool for exchange planning
